Swati Bhangalia said, “We had specific inputs that a large amount of money was being carried in a car. We started checking the vehicles, and stopped the car in which the three MLAs were traveling. The vehicle was heavy. Cash was found. Superintendent of Police, Howrah (Rural).
The MLAs are being questioned about the source of the money. The police have also asked for a cash counting machine to find out the total amount.
Ansari is an MLA from Jamtara, while Kachhap is an MLA from Khijri in Ranchi district and Kongari is an MLA from Kolebira in Simdega district.
