After the flops of his back-to-back releases, Akshay Kumar is all set to return to the silver screen with Ram Sethu. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film also stars Nushrat Bharuchha and Jacqueline Fernandez. It will also mark the Bollywood debut of Telugu actor Sathyadev. Releasing today, October 25, it will clash with another Bollywood film, Thank God.

In his recent interview, Ram Sethu lead actor Akshay Kumar asked people not to refer to the release of the two films as a ‘clash’. The actor further mentioned that both the films will appeal to their audience and their fans should enjoy the festival.
Akshay Kumar told Hindustan Times, “There is no conflict. Don’t refer to it as such. Two films released on the same day, with different appeals. This has happened in the past and will happen in the future. Fans will choose to watch their favorite or better yet, watch both. The main objective is to enjoy the festival at the movies with our fans, friends and family.
About his film Ram Sethu, the actor added, “Rama Sethu is very proudly rooted in Indian history and culture. On the factual side, the team relies on deep research to represent what the truth is and uncover many unknown facts. On the spiritual, emotional side, I can assure you that not only are we emotionally respectful, but the values and beliefs associated with Sri Ram and Ram Sethu are uniquely upheld.
Before Ram Sethu, Akshay Kumar’s Bachan Pandey, Prithviraj and Raksha Bandhan were box office hits this year.
