Chadha later said in a tweet, “In the ParliamentI had asked the central government how many times the price of petrol has increased in the last one year. You will be surprised to know that in the last one year, the price of petrol has increased by 78 times and that of diesel by 76 times. This is a blow to the common man.”
Chadha said the BJP-led central government had collected revenue of Rs 4,92,303 crore in 2021-22. “The BJP government had seen an increase of Rs 1.5 lakh crore in revenue as compared to 2019-20. Despite these staggering collections, the government is burdening the poor and common people by increasing fuel prices, instead of providing financial relief to the people. Inflation,” he said.
