Militants opened fire on a laborer from Bihar in Sodnara Sumbal of Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, after which he died.
The deceased laborer, who hails from Madhepura in Bihar, has been identified as Mohammad Amrej.
Kashmir tweeted, “During the intervening night, terrorists fired and injured an outside labourer, Mohd Amrej, son Mohd Jalil, resident of Madhepura Besarah, Sodnara Sumbal, Bandipora, Bihar. He was taken to a hospital for treatment, where he died.” Zone Police on Friday morning.

The killing comes a day after two terrorists attempted to carry out a suicide bombing attack in Rajouri, in which three army personnel were killed. Both the terrorists were killed during the operation.
