New Delhi: President Draupadi Murmu His election to the top constitutional post on Monday proved that the poor in India can not only dream but can also fulfill those aspirations.
Chief Justice of India NV. in his address after Raman Sworn in as the 15th President of India, Murmu thanked all the MPs and MLAs for electing him.
She said that I have been elected during a crucial time when the country is completing 75 years of independence.
“Reaching this office is not my personal achievement, but the achievement of all the poor people of the country,” Murmu said.
“My election is proof that the poor in India can dream and make those dreams come true,” he said.
Murmu said that it is the power of India’s democracy that a girl born in a poor tribal household can reach the highest constitutional position.
In his speech, the President stressed on expediting efforts to meet the expectations of freedom fighters from the citizens of independent India.
