New Delhi: The government on Wednesday informed the Lok Sabha that over 7.2 lakh people have got permanent jobs in various central government departments since 2014.
In a written reply, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said, employment generation along with improving employability is the priority of the government.
Apart from this, the government has taken several steps to generate employment in the country, Singh said.
“Budget 2021-22 Launch” production linked incentive (PLI) schemes, with an outlay of Rs. 1.97 lakh crore, for a period of 5 years commencing from 2021-22. PLI The schemes being implemented by the government have the potential to create 60 lakh new jobs. The PLI scheme is implemented within the overall financial limit prescribed by the concerned Ministries/Departments,” the Minister informed the House.
Prime Minister’s Mudra Yojana ,PMMY) is being implemented by the government to facilitate self-employment.
