5G mobile services will soon arrive in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday as he has rooted for ‘Made-in-India’ technology solutions to meet the challenges of a new India.
The Prime Minister said that it is time for India’s technology and digital technology to improve in every field.
Modi said, “India’s technology is here! With 5G, semiconductor manufacturing and optical fiber cable (OFC) in villages, we are revolutionizing the grassroots level through Digital India.”
He said that with the production of semiconductors, 5G networks and optical fiber networks, the Digital India movement shows strength in three segments – education, healthcare and transforming lives of the common man.
Modi said that India’s industrial development will happen from the ground level.
“Our micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), street vendors and those working in the organized sector need to be strengthened,” he said.
Modi resolved to fight against corruption with full zeal.
“We have to fight corruption with all our might. In the last eight years, Aadhaar, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and mobile phones were used to trace black money worth Rs 2 lakh crore,” he said.
