New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind On Saturday, all political parties were asked to rise above party politics to serve the national interest.
In his farewell speech, he congratulated the elected President Draupadi. MurmuWho will take oath as the 15th President of the country on Monday.
She will be the first tribal woman to hold the highest constitutional post of the country.
“I heartily congratulate Draupadi Murmu on being elected as the next President, the country will benefit from her guidance,” he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi And Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Saturday attended a ceremony in the Central Hall of Parliament to bid farewell to the outgoing President, whose term ends on Sunday.
Modi had hosted a dinner in Kovind’s honor on Friday. Members of the Union Cabinet, Chief Ministers of various states and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
There was good representation from all parts of the country at the dinner, which included several Padma awardees and tribal leaders.
