New Delhi: Solicitor General of India Tushari Mehta has tested positive for Covid-19 and has mild symptoms.
A statement issued by the Solicitor General’s office said that he tested COVID positive on Sunday night and is in isolation.
“Since I had mild symptoms since Saturday, I isolated myself from Saturday,” Mehta said in the statement.
Referring to the swearing-in ceremony of the President Draupadi Murmu“I am sorry for not being able to personally witness the historic oath,” he said.
The Solicitor General will appear in the apex court virtually on Monday in two-three minor cases and will then take leave for a few days.
