Speaking at an event organized by All India Sufi Sajjadnashin Parishad (AISSC) in Delhi, Doval said: “Some elements are trying to create an environment which is spoiling the progress of India. They are creating bitterness and conflict in the name of religion and ideology, it is affecting the whole country. It is affecting while it is spreading. Other countries too… We have to work together to combat religious animosity and make every religious body feel that they are part of India. Let us walk together and drown.”
PFI should be banned: Sankalp
A resolution was passed at the interfaith event organized by AISSC calling for strict action against any organization or person found indulging in anti-national activities. “Organizations like Popular Front of India (PFI) and any other organizations which are indulging in anti-national activities and creating discord among our citizens should be banned and action should be initiated against them as per the law of the land.”
“Also, we strongly recommend that any person or organization found guilty of spreading hatred among communities by any means, should be acted upon in accordance with the provisions of law,” read the resolution.
It said, “The targeting of any gods/gods/prophets by anyone in discussion/debate should be condemned and dealt with in accordance with law.”
Don’t be a mute spectator: Dovala
The NSA warned that there is an “environment of conflict” in the world and the only way to deal with it is to “maintain the unity of the country together”.
Instead of remaining mute spectators, we have to strengthen our voices as well as work at the grassroots level on our differences. We have to make every sect of India feel that we are one country together, we are proud of it and every religion can be. Doval said, here it was claimed with freedom.
“The way India is progressing, people of all religions will benefit from it,” the NSA said.
Time to act: Sufi cleric
AISSC Chairman Hazrat Syed Nasruddin Chishti Said that the need of the hour was to “rein and ban radical organisations”.
Chishti said, “We condemn when any unfortunate incident happens. It is time to do something. The need of the hour is to rein in and ban the fundamentalist organizations. Be it any fundamentalist organisation, They should be banned if there is evidence against them.” ,
Doval’s remarks and the council’s resolution now come months after it was suspended BJP Spokesman, Nupur Sharmamade derogatory remarks on prophetcondemned bay Nation’s. The Center later clarified that India does not tolerate such comments by “vulgar elements”.
Following the uproar, several murders across India were linked to comments made by Nupur.
