Srinagar: Security forces on Saturday arrested two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists from Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. Two pistols and two pistol magazines along with 11 live cartridges were also recovered from the arrested Lashkar-e-Taiba militants, a police spokesman said.
“Police Inn sopore (Baramulla district) along with security forces have arrested two terrorists belonging to the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. Arms and ammunition have been recovered from their possession.”
The spokesman said that based on specific inputs about the movement of terrorists, a joint post was set up by the security forces at Hadipora-Rafiabad.
“During checking, the joint team intercepted two suspects lorihama Link road leading to Hadipora, who on seeing the Samyukta Naka party tried to flee from the spot but were cleverly apprehended,” he said.
Both the arrested have been identified as Tariq Ahmed Wani And Ishfaq Ahmed Waniboth residents Rangreth in Srinagar.
