Patil said, “A ‘sarpanch’ (elected village head) should give an audience to every elected representative of the local governing body. When Thackeray was just the party chief, we could have lodged our complaint against a minister, if He doesn’t cooperate,” Patil told a regional new channel.
“But after he became the chief minister, we could not go to anyone to take our complaints of not working. He should have given enough audience to the MLAs,” he said.
many rebels Shiv Sena Leaders have earlier blamed the party’s chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut for the strain in relations between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Shiv Sena.
But without naming anyone, Patil said, “There are some leaders around Thackeray, who are causing further damage to Shiv Sena. People like us suffer because of these leaders…we are made to wait for hours. We won the elections with the support of around three lakh voters, and yet we are treated with such disrespectful treatment.”
“Many people who are in Thackeray’s inner circle never won an election. But he never treated us with respect,” he said.
Patil is among 40 Shiv Sena MLAs who revolted against the party leadership. Due to the rebellion led by Eknath Shinde, the Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government fell on 29 June. The next day, Shinde was sworn in as Chief Minister, while the BJP Devendra Fadnavis became his deputy. ,
