Virat Kohli runs out Cameron Green with a brilliant bullseye throw
The second T20I between India and Australia at Nagpur was delayed by two hours due to a wet outfield. Finally, after a long wait, the match got underway as an 8-over affair for each team. Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first.
India did not get off to a good start as Hardik Pandya, bowling with the new ball in the absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, took 10 runs in the first over, with Australia captain Aaron Finch smashing two boundaries.
Rohit made a bold move to bowl to Axar Patel in the second over despite the powerplay. Cameron Green, who was man of the match in the first T20, hit Aksar for a boundary in the first ball. However, India got the first lead. However, courtesy former India captain Virat Kohli’s sharp fielding effort at mid-on.
On the third ball of that over, Axar ran into the stumps. Green moves to the leg side and mishits his hit, the ball goes to Kohli’s right, who runs like a leopard and catches the ball, returning it to the bowler’s end.
For some reason, Green was not running at his best and looked tired in the middle. Seeing Kohli’s delivery, he then picked up the pace. However, Akshar was quick to collect the ball and remove the bales, giving Green a catch at his crease. And when the on-field umpire referred the decision to the third umpire, Kohli was sure to have his man, pointing the finger.
