Zakir Naik at FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar
Zakir Naik, in one of his speeches, quoted Salman Audah, an Islamic preacher of the banned Muslim Brotherhood, in support of the suicide attacks. He called Salman Audah”one of the best scholars of Islam”, saying such attacks are permitted in Islam in extreme cases. He cited the situation in Palestine as an example. According to reports, Naik also supported Pakistan’s temple blasts. He argued that Islamic countries should ban the building of temples.

In March 2022, the IRF was declared an illegal association and outlawed for five years by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). According to the MHA, Naik was praising known terrorists and arguing that every Muslim should be a terrorist, making his speeches objectionable.

The letter alleged that the IRF founder was advocating forced conversion of youth to Islam, advocating suicide bombings and making defamatory statements insulting Hindus, Hindu Gods and other religions. However, Naik has denied all the allegations against him.
