Brazilian soccer legend Pele has been hospitalized with heart failure and swelling
In October, Brazilian legend Pele turned 82 and was taken to hospital following heart failure and swelling. He was released from the hospital last year and had a colon tumor removed in September last year. On Tuesday, his wife Marcia took him to Sao Paulo’s Albert Einstein Hospital. Pele developed significant swelling throughout the body and heart failure. Doctors are concerned because Pele is not responding to chemotherapy. Pele became mentally disturbed, and doctors gave him tests for hepatic encephalopathy, which causes liver failure. One of his daughters, Keli Nascimento, took to Instagram to talk about her dad’s health. She wrote how her father was in the hospital and on medication.
