Bengaluru: Man dragged on car’s bonnet for over a kilometre following argument
By sagay Raj: A woman dragged a man on the bonnet of her car for a kilometer following an argument in Bengaluru’s Gnana Bharati Nagar area.
Here’s what happened:
- According to the police, two cars, a Tata Nixon and a Maruti Swift collided with each other in the Gnana Bharati Nagar area.
- Tata Nixon was driven by Priyanka. The person driving the Swift was Darshan.
- After the car crash, the two got into an argument.
- When Darshan went to park his car, Priyanka started her vehicle. Priyanka drove the car for about a kilometer before Darshan jumped on the bonnet of the car.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic West) hit Priyanka Darshan’s car. “When he asked her to stop, the woman tried to drive away by showing a bad sign. When Darshan intercepted his car, Priyanka refused to get out of the vehicle and drove off. To save herself and Priyanka, Darshan jumped on the bonnet of the car. He kept Darshan on the phone and drove for a kilometer.”
“When Priyanka stopped the car, Darshan and his friends broke the parts of the car. Both parties have filed a case against each other,” said the DCP.
While an FIR has been registered against Priyanka under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC, the police have booked Darshan and his friends under Section 354 of the IPC for disturbing the modesty of a woman.
