Google software engineer creates Gita GPT, an AI chatbot inspired by Bhagavad Gita

It was only after OpenAI introduced the ChatGPT AI chatbot to the public that tech companies like Microsoft and Google released their own AI chatbots. Microsoft introduced Google Bard when it integrated ChatGPT-like technology into its Bing search engine. Not just big tech companies, start-ups and developers are also looking to build a similar AI chatbot, which is now gaining traction. Gita is one of the many chatbots like GPT, developed by a Bangalore-based Google software engineer.

Created by Sukuru Sai Vineet, Gita GPT is inspired by Bhagavad Gita. Vineeth quickly jumped on the AI bandwagon and created a Chat GPT-like tool that answers all the questions written in the Bhagavad Gita. Powered by Gita GPT AI Chatbot GPT-3, it generates answers to your life problems directly from Bhagavad Gita.

The site basically allows users to “see the Gita” about their daily problems. The platform allows users to ask questions that an AI chatbot answers by consulting the Bhagavad Gita.

Powered by OpenAI’s GPT-3, Geeta GPT calls itself a “revolutionary chatbot”. “With Gita GPT, you can gain insight and clarity on your life decisions in an easy, interactive way,” reads the message on this platform. Well, it also means that chatbot mostly answers life problems and how to solve them. But if you ask about Elon Musk or Bill Gates, the site may struggle to answer your questions.

A few days after ChatGPT gained widespread popularity, both Google and Microsoft announced the launch of their own AI chatbot. Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced the AI chatbot Bard earlier this week, which he said will be available in the coming days. However, during its first public demo, Bart made a factual error, and everyone called Google out for it. The company lost about $100 billion after the blunder. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, meanwhile, says the new Bing search engine integrated with a ChatGPT-like feature called “chat” will give Google’s AI Chabot Bard a tough fight. The new Bing is only available to limited users and other users are put on a waiting list.

On the other hand, the Chinese e-commerce site told CNBC that it is working to compete with ChatGPT. A company spokesperson said Alibaba is working on ChatGPT-style technology, which is currently in testing. The company has not disclosed any timeline for the release.
