Video: Manager Assaulted Over Theft Suspicion, Body Dumped At UP Hospital
A 32-year-old man was beaten to death on the orders of his employer in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and his body dumped outside a government hospital.
A transport businessman, Shivam Johri, who worked as his manager, is one of seven people named in a murder case after a video of the attack went viral. The video showed Shivam tied to a pole and writhing in pain as a man repeatedly hit him with a stick. The manager is said to have been accused of theft.
According to the police, Siva’s body was dumped at the Medical College and Hospital on Tuesday night and his family said he died of electrocution. When a police officer examined the body at the hospital, he noticed injuries consistent with the alleged electrocution and an investigation began.
In the investigation conducted so far, it has been found that Shivam was working with transport businessman Bangim Suri for the past 7 years. Recently, a package of Kanhiya underwear, a staple business, went missing. Several transport workers were reportedly assaulted on suspicion of theft.
Neeraj Gupta, owner of Kanhia Hosiery, is among the seven accused in the murder case.

Police have also seized a car from the premises of Kanhia Hosiery, which is suspected to be linked to the crime. Police said the post-mortem report would shed more light on the allegation.
