First looks of Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt from ‘Rocky Aur Rani…’ unveiled on Karan Johar’s birthday
Mumbai, May 25 (PTI) Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the “new couple of dharma cinema universe” in the sizzling first look of director Karan Johar’s film “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani” at the 25th anniversary celebrations of director Karan Johar. The posters of the actor duo, who earlier starred together in 2019’s “Kulli Boy”, were released on Thursday to mark Johar’s 51st birthday.
Johar’s family banner Dharma Productions took to its official Twitter page to share the first look of Singh as Rakhi and Bhat as Rani.
“Meet the newest couple of the Dharma cinema universe – Rocky & Rani! Inn dono ki prem kahaani hai adhuri without their family! STAY TUNED & MEET THEIR PARIVAAR! #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani, a film by Karan Johar in his 25th anniversary year…” the production house said in the tweet.

The film, billed as a family drama, the film marks Johar’s directorial return after 2016’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. He made his directorial debut in 1998 with “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji.
“Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani” stars veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in lead roles.
As Rocky, Singh looks like a rockstar.
“Yaaron ka yaar, rockin’ in every avatar, aur iss ‘prem kahani’ ka dildar – meet Rocky!” Read his character description.
Alia’s Rani is dressed in a classy modern saree.
“Thilon ko datkane aa rahi hai vo – the ‘Queen’ of this ‘Prem Kahani’!” Banner spoke about his character description.
