Kathmandu , May 31 (PTI) Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ left for India on Wednesday on a four-day official visit to hold talks with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi and other leaders. relationships.
Prachanda heads a high-level team of over 100 members.
This will be the first bilateral foreign visit by the 68-year-old Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-Maoist) leader after assuming office in December 2022.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to attend a felicitation program for his delegation organized by the Nepal Embassy this evening.
Prime Minister Dahal will meet the Indian business community and meet the President and Vice President of India in New Delhi. After completing his engagements in New Delhi, the Prime Minister will also visit Ujjain and Indore in Madhya Pradesh.
The two Prime Ministers will also remotely inaugurate the railway yard at Pratnagar, extension of the Jaynagar-Janakpur railway line to Bijalpura and integrated check posts at Biratnagar and Nepalgunj,
Prachanda will raise long-standing power trade issues with New Delhi, hoping that this “intermediate” will be removed and the Himalayan nation will be a favorable market for its surplus energy.
“During my visit we will raise some issues related to long-standing power trade with India,” Prachanda told Nepal’s National News Agency (RSS), according to government daily Gorkhapatra.
