Prez Murmu accepts credentials from envoys; says heartening to see women diplomats taking key responsibilities
New Delhi, Feb 24 (PTI) President Draupadi Murmu on Friday accepted credentials from ambassadors of five countries, including South Sudan and Seychelles, and said it was a pleasure to see experienced women diplomats taking up such important responsibilities.
Ambassador of the Republic of South Sudan Victoria Samuel Aru, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman Isa Saleh Abdullah Saleh Al Shibani, Javier Manuel Paulinich Velarde, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru, Lalatiana Accouche presented their credentials. Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles and the Kingdom of Cambodia Khoi Quang said in a statement released by the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
President Murmu, who received credentials from Ambassador Victoria Aru of South Sudan and High Commissioner of Seychelles Lalatiana Akoch, said it was a pleasure to see experienced female diplomats taking on such important responsibilities.
