Widespread protests are taking place in Telangana over the alleged leak of question papers for the recruitment exams conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission. At least 11 people have been arrested and three exams to fill government vacancies have been canceled since the allegations came to light.
Opposition parties targeted the Chandrasekhara Rao government over the leaks.
Ms. Sharmila, who has been working hard to create an independent political identity in Telangana, has been raising the issue of paper leaks. Last month, he was arrested while protesting over the issue in Hyderabad.
Jagan Mohan Reddy’s younger sister Ms. Sharmila recently held a rally across Telangana. He has insisted that his party has nothing to do with his brother’s ruling YSR Congress party in Andhra Pradesh.
