Vikram Kirloskar, Vice President, Toyota Kirloskar dies due to heart attack

Vikram Kirloskar, Vice President, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd and the face of Toyota in India, one of the stalwarts of India’s auto industry, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 64. According to initial reports, Vikram Kirloskar suffered a heart attack.
Toyota India confirmed the development in a statement on its social media handles. The statement said, “We are deeply saddened to announce the untimely demise of Mr. Vikram S. Kirloskar, Vice Chairman, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Company on 29 November 2022. At this sad time, we ask everyone to pray for the repose of his soul. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends. Cremation at Heppel Crematorium, Bengaluru on 30 November 2022 at 1 PM.
Vikram Kirloskar has wife Geetanjali Kirloskar and daughter Manasi Kirloskar. Vikram Kirloskar graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He held several key positions in CII, SIAM and ARAI over the years. Vikram Kirloskar was the fourth generation chairman of the Kirloskar Group. He was Chairman and Managing Director of Kirloskar Systems Ltd. and Vice Chairman of Toyota Kirloskar Motors Pvt. Ltd
