WATCH: ‘Hamen Bus Modi Ji Chahiye; Na Sharif, Na Imran,’ Pakistani Man’s Desperate Plea For Help Goes Viral

ISLAMABAD: A video of a Pakistani national praising Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and mocking the Shehbaz Sharif government for failing to control rising inflation has become an instant hit on social media. The viral video, which has been widely shared and re-tweeted, is currently generating huge response from Pakistani and Indian users on Twitter.

Originally posted by Pakistani YouTuber Sana Amjad, the video shows a fellow Pakistani citizen’s desperate outcry and frustration against the Shebaz Sharif government over the current state of affairs in the country. In the video, the man asks his wish that if Prime Minister Narendra Modi ruled Pakistan, he would be able to buy goods at a fair price.

Sana Amjad can be seen asking the locals why the slogan “Pakistan se zinda bhako sahe India sale jao” (even if you take refuge in India, leave Pakistan, take refuge in India) is raised. He replied that he wished he was not born in Pakistan.

The man wishes that if partition had not happened in 1947, he and his fellow countrymen would have been able to buy essentials at reasonable prices and be able to feed their children every night.

“I wish Pakistan was not separated from India. We buy tomatoes at PKR 20/kg, chicken at PKR 150/kg and petrol at PKR 50 per litre,” he said in a viral video. “It is unfortunate that we got an Islamic nation but could not establish Islam here,” he added.

In the viral video, he can be seen shouting “No one but Narendra Modi”. “Modi is much better than us, his people respect him and follow him. If Narendra Modi is there, we don’t need Nawaz Sharif or Benazir or Imran, not even (late former military ruler) General (Pervez) Musharraf. We like PM Modi because he is “Only we can deal with all the mischievous elements in the country. India is now the fifth largest economy in the world and we are nowhere,” he tells the YouTuber.

“Hamen Modi Mil Jaye bus, Na hamen Nawaz Sharif Chahiye, Na Imran, Na Benazir chahiye, General Musharraf bhi nahi chahiye”

“I am ready to live under Modi’s regime. Modi is a great man, he is not a bad man. Indians get tomatoes and chicken at reasonable prices. When you cannot feed your children at night, you start destroying the country. You are born,” he added.
“I pray to Almighty God to give us Modi and rule our country,” he says through tears. The local Pakistani added that his countrymen should stop comparing themselves to India as there really is no comparison between the two countries.

He also criticized the Pakistani media for instilling hatred against India in the Pakistani people by saying that if the Pakistani media told the Pakistani people that India is not an enemy but a friend, the prices of vegetables, chicken and other essential commodities would rise. They immediately fell.
