cong, other opposition parties seek JPC or SC-observation inquiry into Adani Group crisis
New Delhi, Feb 2 (PTI) The Congress and other opposition parties on Thursday demanded a joint parliamentary committee or Supreme Court probe into the Adani Group crisis.
Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said the opposition also demanded a daily report of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) or SC-Monitoring inquiry into the matter involving public money.
“Keeping public interest in mind, there should be a thorough inquiry into the Adani matter either by the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) or the Supreme Court’s monitoring committee. There should also be a daily report of inquiry into the matter,” Kharge told reporters.
Earlier, leaders of several opposition parties met in Parliament and decided to raise the issue in both houses.
