Love Stories: Ranbir Kapoor is a DDLJ fan like many of us – “Raj is everything”
Mumbai (Maharashtra): Actor Ranbir Kapoor has revealed ahead of the release of his Tu Jooty Main Makar, how Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayange shaped him as a romantic film hero.
In Netflix’s docu-series The Romantics, Ranbir said, “Raj is everything! You know, he can do anything! I think Aditya Chopra gave us a character that’s ambitious, he’s mischievous, he’s charming, and it kind of shakes you up. I saw that film in the theater. I know I’ve seen it 20 times!”
Ranbir, who won everyone’s hearts with romantic films like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Rockstar, Tamasha, is now romancing Shraddha Kapoor in Du Jutti Main Makar.
Directed by Luv Ranjan, the film is slated for a festive release in theaters worldwide on Holi, March 8, 2023.
Du Jooty Main Makaar might be Ranbir’s last rom-com. In December 2022, Ranbir attended the Red Sea International Film Festival.
“I don’t know if it’s going to be one of the last romantic comedies I do because I’m getting old.” The audience cheered him for this and said that it is not true as he is getting younger.
Apart from Tu Jyoti Main Makar, Ranbir also has animals in his kitty. The gangster drama is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and also stars Rashmika Mandhana and Anil Kapoor.
