President Murmu visited the Golden Temple on a day trip to Amritsar

Amritsar, March 9 (PTI) President Draupadi Murmu visited the Golden Temple here on Thursday.
Heavy security arrangements have been made in the city for the President’s one-day visit.
Accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandak Committee Chairman Harjinder Singh Thami, the President offered prayers at the temple and listened to ‘Kirtan’.
Earlier, he was received at the airport by Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Chief Minister Mann, Union Minister Som Prakash, Amritsar Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla, State Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Amritsar Police and others. Commissioner etc.
The President is also scheduled to visit Jallianwala Bagh, Durgiana Temple and Lord Valmiki Ram Thirat Sthalam.
