NEW DELHI: The country’s exports are “achieved” by around 6 per cent to $447 billion in 2022-23, on the back of healthy growth in outbound exports from sectors such as petroleum, pharma and chemicals and marine, commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal. said today.
The country’s imports also increased by 16.5 percent to $714 billion in 2022-23 from $613 billion in 2021-22.

He said exports of goods and services together have reached “new heights” and increased by 14 percent to $770 billion in 2022-23 from $676 billion in 2021-22.

“I am pleased to share with you the excellent export performance for 2022-23, India’s overall exports have hit new highs of $770 billion, registering a growth of 14 percent over the previous year, and growing to an all-time high of $500 billion in 2020-21 from 2021-22. 676 billion dollars,” the minister told reporters in Rome.

India’s services exports have also increased by 27.16 percent to $323 billion in 2022-23 from $254 billion in 2021-22.
“This is truly a sign of India expanding our international footprints,” he added.
