The International Geeta Mahotsav will be held in Australia from April 28 to 30

Chandigarh, Apr. 24 (PTI) This year’s International Geeta Mahotsav will be held in Sydney, Australia from April 28-30, the Haryana government said here.
“Gita Mahotsav is a grand celebration of the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. The event unites people from all walks of life,” a government statement said on Sunday.
The international festival which is held annually in the months of November-December in Kurukshetra has been held abroad in the past years.
The last few editions of the festival were held in Mauritius, England and Canada.
The IGM 2023 is being organized in Australia by Haryanvis Association (AHA) and Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB) along with some other organizations, the statement said.
Ahead of the three-day program to be held in Australia, the state government on Saturday organized painting competition, Gita recitation and essay competition.
