Imran Khan Arrested Outside Court, Whisked Away By Paramilitary Personnel
New Delhi: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested today in the Islamabad High Court for a corruption trial. Mr Khan was detained by paramilitary forces from the court premises; His party leaders alleged that the police barged into the court to arrest him and dragged him out.
Imran Khan has been arrested in the Khader Foundation case. That the situation is “normal”.
It said that 144 Prohibitory Order is in force and action will be taken in case of violation.
A video of Imran Khan being surrounded by paramilitary forces and being taken into a vehicle is going viral on social media. Imran Khan’s party also shared the video accusing him of being “badly pushed”.
“They have misplaced injured (sic) Imran Khan badly. People of Pakistan, this is the time to save your country. You will not get any other chance,” it said.

Dawn newspaper reported that Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq, Islamabad Police Chief, Interior Ministry Secretary and Additional Attorney General have been ordered to appear within 15 minutes.
“The IHC CJ said he would show “restraint” and warned that he would “summon” the Prime Minister if the Islamabad police chief did not appear in court,” Tan added.
“Come to the court and tell us why Imran was arrested and in which case,” a Pakistani newspaper quoted Justice Farooq as saying.
Imran Khan’s aide and head of his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Fawad Chaudhry had earlier said that the Islamabad High Court was occupied by Rangers and lawyers were being tortured. “Imran Khan’s car surrounded,” he tweeted in Urdu.

PTI also tweeted a video of an injured man with blood stains on his shirt, saying Imran Khan’s lawyer was “badly injured” at the IHC court premises. It said it was a black day for our democracy and country.
The case related to allegations that Bahria Town had allotted land worth Rs 530 million to Al-Qader Trust, owned by the PTI leader and his wife.
