Sara Ali Khan made the Abu-Sandeep lehenga she wore for her red carpet debut at Cannes more comfortable for the opening night party. Sarah’s OOTN was a black and gold ensemble, with the blouse cut in a heart shape – the heart picked out by her black and gold bag. Minimal makeup and sleek hair completed her look. Sara Ali Khan made her Cannes Film Festival debut, walking the red carpet on opening night. He attended the opening ceremony and premiere of the film Jean du Barry starring Johnny Depp.

Sara Ali Khan wore her desi heart on the Cannes red carpet – her intricately embroidered lehenga was created by designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. She wore a veil over her hair and completed her look with heavy earrings.

Sara Ali Khan wasn’t the only Indian to make her Cannes debut this year – Esha Gupta and Manushi Chillar walked the red carpet on the opening night, as did Urvashi Rautela at Cannes last year. Anushka Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari and Mrinal Thakur are also making their Cannes debut this year, as is Sunny Leone in Anurag Kashyap’s Kennedy, one of four Indian films to be screened at Cannes.

Cannes is incomplete without Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, attending her 21st edition of the film festival. At the Mumbai airport, Aishwarya and daughter Aaradhya were flying to the French Riviera.
