Washington: Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez are now engaged, Page Six reported citing sources.
The pair are currently in France for the Cannes Film Festival, where they hit the star-studded party circuit.

According to Page Six, rumors have been swirling for months that the couple is set to tie the knot, fueled by speculation about the massive heart-shaped ring Sanchez was wearing.

Bezos and Lauren, a former broadcast journalist, began dating each other in 2018.

News surfaced that they were a couple in 2019, but the two kept a low profile until his divorce from wife of 25 years, Mackenzie Scott, was finalized, Page Six reports.

Bezos and MacKenzie share four children.

According to Page Six, MacKenzie received $38 billion in the divorce settlement, with half pledged to the trust. The settlement made her the world’s third-richest woman with 25 percent of the former shareholders’ combined stake in Amazon, although Bezos retained voting control of her nearly 20 million shares.

Sanchez, on the other hand, said he wants to follow in the Blue Origin founder’s footsteps and go into space in November 2022.

“It’s going to be a great group of women,” she said of the expedition’s potential crew.

She was previously married to Patrick Whitesell , with whom she shares two children, Ella and Evan. Page Six reports that she shares 22-year-old son Nico with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez.
