CBI fresh corruption case against jailed Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia
New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia, who was jailed for corruption in the Delhi government’s Feedback Unit (FPU).
The FBU was formed by the Aam Aadmi Party after it came to power in Delhi in 2015.
“Due to the illegal formation and functioning of the opinion cell, the government exchequer has suffered a wrongful loss of approximately ₹ 36 lakh,” the CBI said.
PM’s plan is to slap several false cases against Manish and keep him in custody for a long period. Sad for the country! https://t.co/G48JtXeTIc

Reacting strongly to another case against a jailed Aam Aadmi Party leader, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the move was “sad for the country”.
“Prime Minister’s plan is to make many false cases against Manish and keep him in jail for a long time. Shame on the country!” Mr Kejriwal tweeted.
In February, the Union Home Ministry (MHA) gave permission to prosecute Mr Sisodia under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The CBI report accused Mr Sisodia of using the FBU as a tool for “political cleansing”.
While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) called for a case against Mr Sisodia and the Aam Aadmi Party, Chief Minister Kejriwal dismissed the allegations as “politically motivated”.
Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Mr Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on February 26 in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the Delhi Excise Policy for 2021-22.
