Congress leader Siddaramaiah calls K’taka CM Bommai puppy before PM
Leader of Opposition in Karnataka Assembly Siddaramaiah, accused of not bringing in Rs 5,495 crore to the state as recommended by the 15th Finance Commission, on Wednesday called Chief Minister Basavaraj a puppet in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Responding to this, Chief Minister Toy said Siddaramaiah’s comment reflects his personality. Like a loyal dog, he is loyal to the people of the state.
Bommai said that Modi is like a ‘Kamathenu’ (wish-fulfilling cow) who has given many unprecedented schemes to Karnataka since independence.
Addressing a public meeting today, Siddaramaiah challenged the doll to show some courage.
Basavaraj Bommai , you are like a puppy in front of Narendra Modi. The Congress leader remarked that you are trembling in front of him.
The former chief minister pointed out that the 15th Finance Commission had recommended Rs 5,495 crore as special assistance to Karnataka in its interim report.
But our Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, a member of the Rajya Sabha from the state of Karnataka, has written to Niti Aayog Chairman NK Singh that we are unable to give that Rs 5,495 crore. Asked the leader to drop the issue, Siddaramaiah said.
Karnataka sent 25 BJP MPs to Lok Sabha. You (Pommai) came to power in Karnataka through ‘Operation Lotus’. The Congress has told the Chief Minister that if you have the guts and guts, get Rs 5,495 crore from the central government.
Responding to that, Bommai said that the people will give a befitting reply to the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly elections which are 4 months away.
This statement shows the personality of the Congress leader, Bommai told reporters.
He also said that he would be as loyal as a dog is a loyal animal.
I did not divide society like Siddaramaiah. The Chief Minister said that unlike the Congress which gave misfortune, we have given happiness.
Narendra Modi, who gave Karnataka 6,000 km of highway in the post-independence era, also approved the Bengaluru-Mysore highway project, Mangalore-Karwar ports and Kalasa-Bandura project, Bommai told reporters.
He said that in the coming days the Mel Krishna scheme will be declared as a national scheme and grants will be given. All major cities have been approved for the Smart City scheme. This was not the case during the UPA regime. Modi has given all major schemes.
