Congress Used Muslims As Vote Bank, Says HD Kumaraswamy
Mangaluru: Janata Dal (S) leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy has said that the Congress has only used the Muslim community as a vote bank and has done nothing for their welfare.
Addressing a campaign meeting for his party’s Mangaluru North candidate Mohiuddin Bava in Krishnapura on Sunday evening, he accused the Congress of welcoming hardcore Hindu leaders into the party and the JD(S) understanding with the BJP.
Mr. Kumaraswamy said that both the national parties are unnecessarily exploiting the youth for their political gain. The BJP government has announced the Billava Development Corporation in view of the votes of the community ahead of the elections.
He expressed hope that people would put their faith in the Janata Dal (S).
