Digital university to reduce cost of higher, skill education drastically in India: Union Minister Pradhan
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said India is setting up a digital university which will drastically reduce the cost of higher and skill education in the country.
The Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship shared that multiple entry and exit points are being created in the education system to provide youth with mobility across general and skill education streams.
“We are establishing a digital university that will drastically reduce the cost of higher education and skill education and increase access to a wide variety of education and skill programs,”
Pradhan said in a virtual speech at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. Monday.
The SCO is a permanent-intergovernmental international organization that includes eight members — China, India, Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan — to strengthen bilateral ties and regional security.
“We are now creating multiple entry and exit points in the education system that provide horizontal and vertical mobility for young people — general education and skills education,” the minister said.
