Excerpts with Dr. Priya Yabaluri, author of World Art (Edition 5) (Clever Fox Publishing)
Clever Fox Publishing: Tell us something about your background.
Dr Priya Yabaluri: I have been a working artist for almost 23 years, and I am well-known within the visual arts community. My works of art have become popular and respected, and they have been displayed not only in India but also abroad. In addition to being an artist, I also founded the Start-up (MSME) “World Art Fair” organisation and the art brand “Art for Awareness.”
Additionally, I organise art exhibitions to show the work of both established and emerging artists with the potential to become the best. In the years 2020–2022, I received numerous national and international accolades for my outstanding work in the field. In order to promote art, I also create books and journals about it.
I have collaborated with United Nations UN75 to conduct awareness programs by organizing Art Exhibitions to cover social, ecological, global, and cultural issues.

Clever Fox Publishing: When and how did you start your writing journey?
Dr Priya Yabaluri: I’ve been writing for at least ten years now. At first, I was drawn to blogging and composing poems. However, as my career in the arts developed, I became interested in writing and publishing books and magazines with articles about artists, their artistic endeavours, and their preferred painting techniques.
Dr Priya Yabaluri: In this book, I delve into and inform you about the global contemporary artists and their works.
Clever Fox Publishing: What prompted you to write this book?
Dr Priya Yabaluri: I have been impacted by the art and culture around me ever since I was a child. Being an artist myself, it was simple to understand another artist’s process and output.
My doctorate in fine arts has aided my ability to read, comprehend, and write. The artwork in the book speaks much, while the words just serve as a small portion of expression.
Clever Fox Publishing: How was your pre-writing experience? What urged you?
Dr Priya Yabaluri: The originality of artists and their use of many genres encouraged me. It became clear to me that we artists must raise awareness through our creations while also emphasising the necessity for the public to be informed.
Clever Fox Publishing: How was your writing experience? Smooth or bumpy?
Dr Priya Yabaluri: Understanding and expressing various facets and viewpoints of other artists are all part of the writing process. The process of observation and study continues until the reader is reached. Art is understood and perceived differently by different individuals.
Clever Fox Publishing: How much did your publishers contribute? Did they ease the process for you?
Dr Priya Yabaluri: Publishers helped a lot in designing part. It has been great experience so far
Clever Fox Publishing: What is the reaction of your family and friends to you writing this book?
Dr Priya Yabaluri: My family, friends and my artists are delighted to be part of this project.

Dr Priya Yabaluri: I’ve always had support from my family and my marketing team. I want to congratulate Mr. Vaseem Ansari and his staff in particular for their exceptional marketing services, as well as the artists who showed interest in taking part in and contributing to this historic endeavour.

Dr Priya Yabaluri: This book will definitely help students and other upcoming artists .It sheds light on the contemporary art and the artists biography of some of the greatest artists and personalities of the world.
Clever Fox Publishing: How do you deal with negative comments if any?
Dr Priya Yabaluri: I would say this book will only spread positivity.
Clever Fox Publishing: Who are your literary mentors and role models?
Dr Priya Yabaluri: I am self-motivated and self-driven most of the times but definitely I am influenced by art so much that nothing stops me from creating art books or artworks. I will mention my father as he is an inspiration and role model for me, Shri PVS Sarma who has also written and published 4 technical books helping students and engineers.
Clever Fox Publishing: What are your upcoming writing ventures?
Dr Priya Yabaluri: I would like to add a lot more books to the World Art Encyclopaedia series. This will cover more contemporary artists around the globe .
Clever Fox Publishing: Any piece of advice for our aspiring writers?
Dr Priya Yabaluri: As a writer, I would advise picking a topic, doing research, writing, and putting tactics in place to connect with your readers.
