‘King, get better. So much faith’: Former rival Romario wishes Pele a speedy recovery
Former Brazil player Romario wishes Pele a speedy recovery. Speaking to Ge Globo, she said, “King, get well. So much hope. The whole world is watching and praying for you. Progress! I kiss your heart.”
Pele has been hospitalized at Sao Paulo’s Albert Einstein Hospital, where the 82-year-old soccer legend is being treated for advanced cancer and kidney and heart problems. Despite representing the same country, Romario and Pele have had differences of opinion in the past.
Romario in 2007 called Pele a “poet when he doesn’t speak”.
Peele responded to the claims by saying, ‘A lot of people don’t know what they want and attack the past.
‘But I’m a Catholic and I believe that God always forgives the ignorant, so I forgive the ignorant.’ Pele added.
Pele’s daughter posted an Instagram picture with her father on December 25, after doctors previously confirmed that the Brazilian legend’s kidney and heart problems had worsened since he was admitted to hospital.
“We’re still here, fighting and hoping. One more night together,” Kelly Christina Nascimento wrote on her Instagram, along with a picture showing one half of the legend.
