Ukraine war: Poland to send fighter jets to Ukraine in upcoming weeks
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Tuesday that the country will deliver MIG fighter jets to Ukraine in the coming weeks.
Morawiecki said he could deliver MIG fighters to Ukraine in the next four to six weeks, The Guardian reported. Russian news agency TASS reported that Poland plans to deliver MiG-29 fighter jets from its own fleet to Ukraine within the next few weeks.
In February, Morawiecki said Poland was ready to send MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine, but only as part of an alliance with other NATO countries, TASS reported. According to reports, Poland has stationed 28 MiG-29 jets at an air base in Malborg. However, Poland has not disclosed how many jets it plans to deliver to Ukraine.
