New Delhi: Laxman Udekar’s ZZara Hatke Zara Bachke starring Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan opened in theaters on Friday and earned ₹ 5.49 crore on its opening day, tweeted Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh. His tweet read, “Zara Hatke Zara Pachke takes off on Day 1… (Below) Calming naysayers and pessimists who predicted a ₹ 2 crore opening… Buoyed by Buy-1-Get-1 Free ticket offer. + Affordable ticket price, This has given its business the much needed boost… Silver ₹ 5.49 crore. India Biz.” He also decoded the contribution of national theatrical chains to the film, saying, “National chains contributed a healthy ₹ 3.35 crore on Day 1… PVR: 1.54 crore, INOX: 1.11 crore, Cinepolis: 70 lakhs.”
Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Zara Hatke Zara Pachke is expected to maintain momentum on Saturday and Sunday… The Buy-1-Get-1 free ticket offer continues till Sunday night, which should help the film register strong totals in its opening weekend.” ”

dore, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is a romantic comedy about Kapil and Somya, a couple who go through a divorce, played by Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan. Starring Sharif Hashmi and Rakesh Bedi, the film hit the screens on June 2. It is produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studio.

The film opened to mixed reviews. Film critic Saibal  Chatterjee, in his review for NDTV, gave the film 2 out of 5 stars and wrote, “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke” is a film that doesn’t give the actors a chance to get away with being bad. Everyone is an actor, and that includes the two leads, who walk away to glory in order to ask above the tin.”
