Pics: Naveen Patnaik meets Ranveer Singh ahead of Hockey World Cup
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik met actor Ranveer Singh ahead of the Hockey World Cup opening ceremony this evening. The celebrations are scheduled to take place at Parapati Maidan in Cuttack.

The actor gifted a jersey bearing his name to the Chief Minister.
The mega hockey event to be held in Cuttack this evening will be attended by several leaders, including Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of several states.
The World Cup will be held in the two cities of Odisha, Bhubaneswar and Rourkela.

Mr Patnaik had already announced that if India won the World Cup, each player in the team would be paid ₹1 crore.
