India’s exports dip 8.8 pc to USD 33.88 billion in February
New Delhi, Mar 15 (PTI) India’s exports fell 8.8 per cent for the third consecutive month to $33.88 billion in February, as against $37.15 billion in the same month last year, according to data released by the commerce ministry on Wednesday.
Imports also declined by 8.21 percent to USD 51.31 billion from USD 55.9 billion recorded in the same month last year.
The country’s trade deficit narrowed to $17.43 billion in February.
However, the country’s overall merchandise exports rose 7.5 percent to $405.94 billion during April-February this fiscal.
Imports increased by 18.82 percent to $653.47 billion during the period.
