Ram Mandir 70% complete, to be opened for public in Jan 2024: Temple trust

On Wednesday, Trustee Treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri said the Ram temple will be opened for devotees in the third week of January 2024.
About 70% of the construction of the Ayodhya Ram Temple has been completed and the Ram Lalla Temple will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum by the third week of January 2024, according to Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust.

Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, Member, Sri Maniram Das Savani (Ayodhi) Trust said that the temple doors will be opened for devotees to worship the deity on January 14-15, 2024 ahead of Makara Sankranti.

Ayodhya’s Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) regional spokesperson Sharad Sharma said devotees are eagerly waiting for the opening of the Ram temple.

The grand opening of the Ram temple in Ayodhya will begin in December 2023. For the first time since the construction of the Ram temple began in August 2020, the temple trust and the state government have planned grand Ram Navami celebrations.
A Supreme Court ruling in late 2019 cleared the way for the construction of the temple by ordering an end to the decades-long movement. Temple building has been a constant in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) election manifesto since 1996.
