Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Saturday that more than 10 lakh cataract surgeries have been performed under the West Bengal government’s free eye treatment scheme.
she said that 15 lakh glasses have been distributed to school students and adults under the ‘Socker Aloe’ scheme.
‘Chokher Alo’ was launched in 2021 with the aim of eradicating vision impairment among the people of WB.
