Lakhs Of Teachers Contributed To Making Of National Education Policy: PM
Gandhinagar (Gujarat): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that the country is creating new opportunities to meet the needs of the 21st century and the new National Education Policy has been formulated keeping these aspects in mind.
Participating in the 29th biennial conference of the All India Primary Teachers Federation, Akhil Bharatiya Siksha Sangh Adhivasan, the Prime Minister said lakhs of teachers have contributed to the formulation of the National Education Policy.
Addressing here, he said his interactions with teachers have helped the government in formulating policies at the national level.
“Our education system is changing, teachers and children are changing. In this era of change, how we move forward is important… My interaction with teachers has helped us formulate policies at the national level,” he said.
“Lakhs of teachers have contributed to the formation of the National Education Policy this time…Today, India is creating new opportunities to meet the needs of the 21st century, keeping in mind the new National Education Policy,” he added. .
The theme of the conference is ‘Teachers at the Heart of Transforming Education’.
During his one-day visit to Gujarat, the Prime Minister laid foundation stones for various projects worth around ₹ 4400 crore.
