PM Modi flagged off Odisha’s 1st Vande Bharat Express. Check fare, route and timings here
Odisha got its first Vande Bharat Express as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the train on Thursday. The 16-coach train covers a distance of 500 km between Howrah and Puri and takes six and a half hours to complete its journey. Prime Minister Modi today laid foundation stones for several railway projects worth Rs 8,000 crore in Odisha.
“Vande Bharat is a symbol of developed India and aspiring Indians. When Vande Bharat travels from one place to another, it represents India’s speed and growth,” PM Modi said at the inauguration of the Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express train.

“The Vande Bharat Express will further strengthen the religious, cultural and spiritual connection between Howrah and Puri. Today, 15 Vande Bharat trains are operating in the country; these are enhancing both connectivity and the country’s economy,” PM Modi said. was added.

Ahead of launch of Vande Bharat Express, Ashwini Vaishnav and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan along with BJP leader Sambit Patra visited the Jagannath Temple in Puri ahead of the launch of Odisha’s first Vande Bharat Express train.
