Nepal PM Prachanda to embark on 4-day official visit to India on May 31
Kathmandu, May 27 (PTI) Nepali Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will leave for India on Wednesday on a four-day official visit, during which he will hold talks with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi and other leaders. old, multifaceted bilateral relations, the Ministry of External Affairs here said on Saturday.
This will be the first bilateral foreign visit by the Nepalese Prime Minister after assuming office in December 2022.
Prachanda, 68, will be accompanied by her daughter Ganga Dahal. He is coming to India on the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Modi.
He will head a team of ministers, secretaries and senior government officials.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will have a courtesy call on President Draupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, the ministry said in a statement.
Prachanda will hold delegation-level talks with Modi on June 1. The two prime ministers will hold a joint press conference following the talks, it said, adding that Modi will host a lunch in honor of his prime minister and his delegation from Nepal.
“This is the fourth visit of Prime Minister ‘Prachanda’, who has been sworn in as the Prime Minister of Nepal, to India. The visit will further strengthen the age-old, multifaceted and cordial relationship between Nepal and India,” it said.
“The Prime Minister will address the Nepal-India Business Summit jointly organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and interact with business leaders of the two countries,” it said.
Prachanda will interact with the Nepali community in India at a welcome reception hosted by Nepalese Ambassador to India Shankar Prasad Sharma, the statement said.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit Ujjain and Indore in Madhya Pradesh before returning to Kathmandu on June 3. PTI MRJ AKJ MRJ MRJ
