Amitabh Bachchan Injured On Set In Hyderabad: “Movement And Breathing Painful”

Actor Amitabh Bachchan suffered a muscle tear in his right rib cage while shooting for Project K in Hyderabad. The 80-year-old star said in a blog post that while he was filming an action shot, his rib cartilage “rolled away” on set, injuring him. He received medical treatment in Hyderabad and is now recuperating at his residence Jalsa in Mumbai. Amitabh Bachchan said he is “slightly mobile for essential activities” but resting. “Yes, painful,” she wrote on her blog in Tumblr, “and they say it takes a few weeks for some normalization in movement and breathing.” He ended the post he shared on Sunday by appealing to fans not to even attend the jalsa as usual – Big B’s Sunday ritual of meeting and greeting fans outside his home for decades.
In his post, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “During an action shot on the set of Project K in Hyderabad, I got injured – broken ribs, torn muscles in right rib cage, canceled the shoot, consulted a doctor and did a scan. CT, flight at AIG Hospital, Hyderabad. Returned home by. Strapped and rested. Yes it hurts. They say it will take a few weeks for movement and breathing to return to normal. Some pain meds are used.”

“So all the work that needs to be done is suspended, temporarily postponed until recovery,” continued Amitabh Bachchan, “I’m resting in Jalsa and a little mobile for all essential activities, but rest and generally lying around.”

“Let me tell you that it will be difficult or I won’t be able to meet the well-wishers at the Jalsa gate this evening. So please come and inform those who want to come as much as you can. Everything else is fine,” Big B concluded his post.

Project K also stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani and is expected to release next year.
