New Delhi: Naga Chaitanya, who is busy with the promotions of his film Custody, opened up about Samantha and Samantha Prabhu’s divorce in a recent interview with ETimes, saying, “It’s been more than two years since we separated. We were formally divorced. The court granted us a divorce. We both moved on with our lives. I have a lot of respect at that stage of my life,” the actor added, adding, “She is a beautiful person and deserves all the happiness. It’s when the media speculates that we get confused. That mutual respect is taken away in the public eye. That’s why I feel bad.”
Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, co-stars of films like Majili, Ye Maaya Chesave and Autonagar Surya, got married in 2017. The stars announced their split on social media in a joint statement in October 2021. Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya is currently said to be dating Ponniyin Selvanactor Sobhita Dhulipa

In an interview with Miss Malini earlier this year, Samantha Ruth Lord said, “I gave 100 to my marriage and it didn’t work out, but I’m not going to beat myself up and feel guilty for something I didn’t do.”
