Clever Fox Publishing: Tell us something about your background.

Rithvi S: I am Rithvi Shinde born on 17^th March, 2014 in Pune, Maharashtra. My recently released debut book ‘Journey with Brian, Alice and Lisa’ got published at the age of eight. I’m a student of class 3 at Vibgyor School,Pune. I love to write, read, dance, paint, sketch and craft.

Recently, I got acknowledged by the International book of records and World Records India as the Youngest author to write Children’s Adventure Book at the age of 8 year 11 months.

Clever Fox Publishing: When and how did you start your writing journey?

Rithvi S: I could weave stories at the age of 5 but the writing journey at the age of 7. The first book I wrote was a collection of 30 short stories which is yet to be published. When I turned 8,  I had already written  3 books , one is  ‘Journey with Brian, Alice and Lisa’ which finally got published in March,2023.

Clever Fox Publishing: What is your book all about?

Rithvi S: Book ‘Journey with Brian, Alice and Lisa’ is a captivating tale of three friends. How they discover a mysterious dusty tower and embark on a mission to solve a series of riddles to bring back their friend into a human being again. It’s a fascinating story of friendship and adventure.

Clever Fox Publishing: What prompted you to write this book?

Rithvi S: I was already writing short stories. One day I thought why not I write a complete book which others can read and enjoy.

Clever Fox Publishing: How was your pre-writing experience? What urged you?

Rithvi S: The pre writing experience was very good. When I have a certain storyline in mind I just want to jot it down.

Clever Fox Publishing: How was your writing experience? Smooth or bumpy?

Rithvi S: My writing experience was very smooth. I wrote this book in Aug,2022 within a weeks time and was very excited and overwhelmed when  it was finally published by Clever Fox Publishing in March,2023.

Clever Fox Publishing: How much did your publishers contribute? Did they ease the process for you?

Rithvi S: My publisher helped me with the editing , reviews and illustrations. As this was my first book, I wasn’t aware of the entire process. We had many queries. James Raj, the Project Manager was always there to resolve it and conveyed all expectations to the other teams. A Big Thank You to James.

Clever Fox Publishing: What is the reaction of your family and friends to you writing this book

Rithvi S: When my Mom first read it she was surprised like anything  as I wrote this book in a weeks time which included the front and back cover, illustrations,  preface , good storyline and perfect flow of words till the end. My family members, well wishers, school teachers and friends are very amazed and very proud of me that I started writing at such a young age.

Clever Fox Publishing: Mention the people who supported you in this journey.

Rithvi S: My biggest support has been my parents and my immediate family members in this exciting journey. They always support me and motivate me in whatever I do.

Clever Fox Publishing: How is your book going to impact the readers?

Rithvi S: The book will engage the readers till the very end. It will take the readers on an adventurous journey of 3 friends. The story teaches us important values such as friendship, team work and problem solving.

Clever Fox Publishing: How do you deal with negative comments if any?

Rithvi S: I prefer to ignore negative comments. It doesn’t help in any way.

Clever Fox Publishing: Who are your literary mentors and role models?

Rithvi S: I love books by Roald Dahl, Sudha Murthy and Ruskin Bond. They inspire me to write.

Clever Fox Publishing: What are your upcoming writing ventures?

Rithvi S: I have already written 3 books and short stories, looking forward to publish it.

Clever Fox Publishing: Any piece of advice for our aspiring writers?

Rithvi S: Just believe in yourself and start putting your thoughts on paper.
